Join all the Maoris in Oz and Kiwis in Oz as we celebrate Waitangi Day.

 

What is Waitangi Day?

This national holiday celebrates the signing of the treaty of Waitangi on 6 February 1840 by Māori chiefs and the British Crown that granted the Māori people the rights of British citizens and ownership of their lands and other properties.

 

The day will be a free community celebration of all things Maori and Kiwi!

 

INCLUDES:

Welcome to country and honouring of Maori and all visitors to our lands by traditional Aboriginal land owners

 

Free cultural dance and live entertainment by Maori and Aboriginal cultural groups

 

Traditional Hangi plate ($15 per plate must be pre-booked and pre-paid through secure ticket link.

 

Kiwi beer and wines

A gold coin donation at the gate is greatly appreciated.

 

Bring a picnic blanket and settle into the tranquil grounds.  Food and fully licensed bar on site.

Take a guided stroll around the original buildings here at the historical village led by local guides in interactive commentaries as they share stories of how a nation was formed.

 

Take time to check out the Mirigan Aboriginal Village while you are here.

Our interactive theatre will also be running amazing clips of a by-gone era. ]

 

Fantastic food, Excellent coffee, licensed bar and awesome staff at the Tin Cup Café open till 2.30pm.
