Indulge in Rum, Chocolates, Honey and Strawberries while meandering through the sweeping southern agricultural region of the City of Logan.

Destination 1: Beenleigh Artisan Distillery - 1 Hour

Beenleigh Rum Distillery, Australia’s oldest registered rum distillery, is home to tall stories, colourful characters, and heritage as rich and distinctive as Beenleigh Rum itself.

Take a guided tour through The Big Red Shed, which is home to sections of the original Beenleigh Distillery established in 1884. Under the heady aromas of fermenting molasses, discover some of their secrets to creating a perfect rum. 

Step into the barrel room where their carefully crafted products are nursed through the aging process before being hand-bottled. Stop in at the visitor centre for a hosted tasting of their Artisan Rums afterwards where you will also be treated to accompanying tastes from our local gourmet chocolatiers at Poppy’s Chocolate.

Destination 2: Poppy’s Chocolates - 30 Minutes

Pop to the other side of the highway and just ten minutes away you will find the one and only Poppy’s Chocolate Factory, where you can watch the chocolatiers at work creating irresistible delicacies like Passionfruit and White Chocolate Bark, Caramel Chocolate Rocky Road with Strawberries and Almonds, salted caramel hearts, and butterscotch truffles. Pick up a selection from Australia’s number one chocolate creator to take away.

Destination 3: Logan Village Hotel - 1 Hour

Stop into Logan Village and view the curated historical village by the river before stopping in for a hearty pub lunch at the Logan Village Hotel and letting the kids run around the Logan Village Greens’ new adventure playground.

Family visiting Bee All Natural

Destination 4: Bee All Natural - 1 Hour

Heading over to North MacLean it’s time to find out about those vital creatures in the preservation of ecological balance and biodiversity in nature – bees.

Locals, Jason and Natasha Roebig have been proudly operating their ‘artesian’ family-owned business, Bee All Natural Honey since 2013. Using age-old techniques adopted from generations of beekeepers who have practised sustainable, natural and organic methods in order to maintain raw, natural and healthy properties with their honey, they simply strain and bottle fresh from the beehive.

Destination 5: Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm - 1 Hour

Meander along country roads out to Chambers Flat for some fresh air in the fields of Chambers 

When the strawberries are at their most plentiful – usually by late July or early August – you can also venture into the fields to pick your own. The Farm Shop is open from June to November and stocked with jams, dipping sauces and punnets of pre-picked strawberries. 

Relax in the Queensland sun on the grassy knoll between the shop and the fields as you work your way through one of their signature decadent ice creams, loaded with fresh, crushed strawberries!
