Who We Work With

We work closely with our industry partners which include our regional, state and national tourism organisations. We strategically align with our partners to better position ourselves and leverage funding and marketing opportunities.

The City of Logan is part of the greater Brisbane tourism region, supported by the Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) as our Regional Tourism Organisation. BEDA reports to Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), which is our State Tourism Organisation (STO). TEQ is responsible for event acquisitions and marketing and promoting Queensland tourism. They work in partnership with the Federal Government to promote Australia as a tourism destination through Tourism Australia (TA).

We also work very closely with the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport and the Queensland Tourism Industry Council.

It outlines Council’s priorities to address pre-existing challenges impacting the growth of the visitor economy, as well as those arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the result of significant consultation and engagement with a broad range of stakeholders, including government, tourism operators and the community.

The current DMP builds on the outcomes of the 2018–2022 plan(PDF, 6MB).

A broad range of priorities and themes have been identified by stakeholders through the consultation process, including game-changing projects and investment opportunities.

Destination Management Plan Vision Statement

Over the next 5 to 10 years, Logan will become a vibrant visitor destination focused on offering sustainable nature-based experiences, sporting and cultural events, and entertainment hubs.
